14th April 2021 – Dare to be different in Christ’s name
Inspired by @austinarmstrong
Hey friends, God had spoken to me this morning through this amazing person -> @austinarmstrong with a message that had touched my heart so deeply; I just want to come up here and share it with you guys in my words, and of course thank you so much @austinarmstrong, praise the Lord!

“Why am I not like everybody else?”
When I was a kid, I was known to be dead quiet and shy; I could keep my silence for an entire day at school without opening my jaw (except for eating). And whenever I spoke, it’s like the whole world would look at me in shock. You get it, I was the introvert of all introverts at school, and that was when I thought:
How do all these people around me speak so NORMALLY?
And that was my moment of: “Why am I not like everybody else?”

Then comes today, I’m a grown-up teen and a totally new person in Christ. I’d overcome the challenges in the past, with new challenges to face moving forward. And one great obstacle that’s in my path right now is not about the negativity about being different; instead, it’s the society and restrictions of me WANTING to be different.
“I want to be different, but the world is telling me: No, let’s take the safer path.”
And here is where God spoke to me through reading the scripture,
Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Dear friends, at some point in life, you may feel like you’re not good enough, like you’re worse than the rest of the world, feeling left out from your group of friends, peers, and society. But God says, you don’t have to be like everyone else! He wants you to change your perspective, change your thought towards your difference, and use that difference to achieve God’s wonderful purpose for you, for His Glory!
And at some point, you might also feel like the world is telling you to stop, go back to what everyone else is doing, and give up on your dreams. But again remember, do not conform to the pattern of this world. Do not be afraid to discover a new path you’ve never taken before. Do not be doubtful for what God has planned in your life.
Throw all these negative thoughts away and,
DARE TO BE DIFFERENT IN CHRIST’S NAME
I love all of you, and I pray for each of you with my heart to the fullest. No-one should be negative about their differences. But rejoice in the Lord for God has made you this way.
